Petrea Burchard

Petrea Burchard began her acting career in Chicago at The Second City, the famous improv comedy theater, where she was a member of the national touring company. She also performed in Chicago equity theaters before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting work in television and film.

Burchard has worked extensively in voice-over and voice acting. After voicing countless commercials and industrials, she landed the role of Ryoko in Tenchi Muyo! opposite long-time Chicago friend, Matt K. Miller. Currently, she is the narrator of more than 100 audiobooks for publishers such as Penguin Random House, Macmillan, HarperCollins and more.

Also an author, Petrea has published a novel (Camelot & Vine) and a book of comic essays (Act As If: Stumbling Through Hollywood with Headshot in Hand), with more books on the way. She has also published articles, short stories and essays in print and online, including her Substack, Wannabe Nomad, a look at “getting older without getting elderly.”

A hiker, explorer and amateur photographer, Petrea lives in southern California with her husband and their pit bull, Juice, who is a very good boy.
