Good evening everyone!
At the time of writing this, happy one month away from the event day! It’s hard to believe the big celebration is almost here. As an extra present to you all, we will be extending pre-registration through March 20th! We won’t be extending the deadline again after this, so be sure to not delay. Thank you!
Wow, we haven’t updated this post since the holiday season. Would you believe it’s because we’re planning the biggest party yet? Just look at that long guest list. And that’s just the guests. There’s also a bunch of you amazing attendees coming, and hopefully we’ll have enough chips and dip for everyone (though the con chair will likely eat it all). We are celebrating 10 glorious years of putting on this show because of you guys, and we cannot wait to indulge in all of the anime, manga, and other fandoms that will be represented.
Speaking of attending, the pre-registration deadline is fast approaching. At the time of this post, only 3 weeks remain with March 17th being the final day to pre-register. After that, only at-door registration will be available at the cost listed; no more early bird discounts will be available. So if you know you’re coming and you want to save some cash to use towards vendor merch, make sure you act quickly! Thank you!
We hope everyone is having a fun Thanksgiving season and will also have a great winter. Don’t forget that the first phase of pre-registration ends with the 2014 year and the prices increase going into 2015.
Whoop, looks like we need to dust off the old announcement board. First, we’d like to thank everyone who supported our 2014 event! It’s thanks to you we were able to once again have a record breaking year with over 4,200 people in attendance! Our dates for 2015 are once again set for April 17th – 19th back in Collinsville, IL. 2015 will also be our 10th year anniversary! We cannot wait to party in style and celebrate 10 years with you all.
It is also thanks to your support that we are able to grow and begin creating new events in the St. Louis area throughout our parent company, Dynamic Midwest Events & Promotions, Inc. One of these new events is coming up quickly on September 13th at Webster University’s East Academic Building. Known as Pixelpop Festival, the event focuses on gaming and game development with a dash of music thrown in. Come meet indie developers and demo their games, as well as learn from them and the industry guests in attendance. Pre-registration is available through August 29th, and at-door registration will be available as well. Please check out the website at http://www.pixelpopfestival.com/ and see all the exciting activities we have planned!
Plenty more announcements are on the way! Stay tuned!
Hey everyone! The clock is ticking as we all countdown to an exciting 2014 show. We still have some deadlines coming up before then. First, resume submissions have opened for the World Cosplay Summit Qualifier that will take place on Sunday, April 13th. The deadline for resume submissions is March 17th, and there will be no registrations for this competition at the event itself. If you plan to enter, definitely do not delay! Also, our pre-registration deadline for badges is almost here. Pre-registration will be open through March 11th, and after that only at-door registration will be available at the posted prices. We can’t believe the convention is almost here, and we can not wait to see all the awesome costumes and cosplays!
Can you believe that Anime St. Louis is just two months away at the time of this post? We’ve still got another announcement or two to make, so be sure to stay tuned. In the meantime, be sure to check out Midwest Costume Academy. The costume workshop event will be on March 1st at the Gateway Center and offers a wide variety of classes on various techniques and materials. There’s even a sewing machine demo room! A combo badge discount is still available with the event and Anime St. Louis, so be make to take advantage of this great deal while it lasts!
