Convention Ticket Giveaway!

Can you believe that Anime St. Louis is only less than 3 months away?  We can’t either.  And we want to help our attendees come be a part of St. Louis’ biggest anime convention.  So let’s start off by doing a quick giveaway for 2 weekend badges!

Send an e-mail to and let the convention chairman know what you’re looking forward to doing most at Anime St. Louis 2013.  Seeing friends, meeting guests, or participating in tournaments and contests; you could even tell him “you mean I have to choose?” and you’ll still be entered.  Just be sure to include your first and last name to be used in the drawing.  The deadline for entries will be Sunday, February 3rd.  After that we need to do another giveaway.  But there will be more details on that next week.  Below are more rules and details about the drawing.  We look forward to everyone entering!

  • In order to enter the giveaway, please send an e-mail to with the subject line “AnimeSTL13 Ticket Giveaway”.  Please include in the e-mail what you’re looking forward to most at Anime St. Louis, along with your first and last name.  The deadline for submissions is Sunday, February 3rd, 2013.
  • The winner will be drawn on Monday, February 4th.  The winner will be contacted through their e-mail.
  • If you’ve pre-registered for Anime St. Louis 2013 and end up winning free badge tickets, you can turn them in at the registration booth at Anime St. Louis for a refund of your badge purchase.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter.  Only one entry allowed per e-mail.

A New Challenger, Kevin Bolk, Approaches!

Webcomic writer and artist Kevin Bolk will be bringing his unique style and panels to Anime St. Louis!  Although he’s done work for Nickelodeon, Tokyopop, Udon Entertainment, Blind Ferret Entertainment, and Voices For, he’s best known for his parody webcomics “It Sucks to be Weegie” and “Ensign Sue Must Die!” (with Clare Moseley) as part of Interrobang Studios’ Pot Luck Comics as well as “I’m My Own Mascot” ( and the fantasy send-up, Trigger Star ( All of these delightful deviations can be found at the Interrobang Studios website (  You can also check out more of K-Bo’s stuff at


Cosplay Guest of Honor

Chicago based cosplayer and Youtube personality CourtoonXIII will be joining us to not only host panels on cosplaying, but she will also be our MC for the Masquerade!  She’s a part of Inner Mind Theater Cosplay, a group which puts on skits and creates advice videos to cosplayers who share passion in the hobby.  Her photos and videos have been featured on television including PBS specials and Good Morning America.  During 2012, she was voted First Runner-Up in the North American Otaku House competition.
